CtC are delighted to announce the appointment of Trevor Lawrence to the role of tour manager for their forthcoming tour to Rwanda.
Club Chairman George Dean commented “I’m delighted to welcome Trevor to the touring party and am confident he will add a lot of value in an off-field capacity. CtCCCC have been on a path to ever greater professionalism* for the past few years, and this is a logical continuation of that journey. Rwanda will clearly be a logistical challenge with an unprecedented number of fixtures, tourists and days away and Trevor will ensure that those challenges are not only met but taken in our stride. I’m also hopeful his Australian grit will provide the touring party with a much needed ruthless streak on the field. Tour Manager Trevor Lawrence commented “I’m honoured to be joining CtCCCC on what is a unique cricket tour. I am due to be captaining my Melbourne over 40s vets team in February, however I am willing to leave the boys for a few games to take on this challenge. I feel my experience on the Victorian grade circuit will bring a fresh perspective to the squad and with over 30 years’ experience organising people I’m confident The Chairman and I will work together to deliver a successful and unforgettable tour for all”. Trevor’s roles on tour will include but not be limited to: 1. Running team meetings 2. Match management (12th man, scorers, umpires etc.) 3. Transport logistics 4. Bags and Kit management All enquiries to interim club press officer Mark Conway
