CtCCCC today announce a change to the squad for the forthcoming tour to Rwanda in February 2018.
Due to personal reasons Tour Manager Trevor Lawrence has had to withdraw from the squad, and will be replaced by wicket-keeper batsmen James Coe. Club chairman George Dean said "It's a great shame that Trev has had to withdraw from tour, we will miss his organisational skills and wealth of experience. Whilst not exactly a like-for-like replacement, bringing Coe allows us to field two specialist wicket-keepers, with Will Hammond now travelling as a batting all-rounder. Though James has an indifferent record for the club (42 runs @ 14.00 with a top score of 38) and a had a poor 2017 for Foxton (161 runs at 11.50) we hope he will strengthen our batting line-up and allow Simon an occasional rest behind the stumps . For the avoidance of any doubt, Simon Shaw remains our 'keeper." James Coe added "Can’t wait to rectify Corfu’s demons. It’s going to be enlightening" Pictured below, Coe at Lords (not for CtC) and Coe in Corfu (for CtC).
